The usual URL format for doing an anonymous ftp from the Netscape
Navigator is this:

    ftp://ftp.whatever.com/

If you need to do a non-anonymous ftp (in other words, if you want to
ftp into a specific account on the ftp server), then here is the
proper URL to use with the Netscape Navigator:

    ftp://username@ftp.whatever.com/

You will then be prompted for your ftp password.
