  Product: Netscape Navigator 1.1
  Operating system: Unix (generic)
Here is how to install Cyrillic fonts on your system, so you can use
the Netscape Navigator to view web pages containing Cyrillic text.

    1. Download the file
       ftp://ftp.elvis.ru/pub/X11/Cyrillic_fonts/75koi8.zip.

    2. Unzip the file, which will convert to many ".bdf" files.

    3. Use the "bdftopcf" program to convert the bdf files to pcf format.
(more on this subject is located here)

    4. Use "mkfontdir" to put them in the "fonts.dir" list
(Again, see more on this here)

    5. Restart Xwindows, and check that the new fonts appear in "xfontsel".

    6. Put the following line into your ".Xdefaults" file:

        Netscape*documentFonts*registry: koi8
